The Care Exchange from Skills for Care

Skills for Care’s podcast, The Care Exchange, celebrates the role of managers in social care. The aim is to provide a space where managers can hear from other managers about their experiences, insights and tips for best practice.

The podcast has recently started its fourth series with an episode focused on recruitment and retention, offering tips to improve your processes.

The Caring View – The Social Care Podcast

The Caring View began life as a YouTube show in 2021, highlighting best practice for care managers during the pandemic. Since then, hosts Mark Topps and Adam Purnell have started The Caring View podcast to further “elevate, educate and celebrate all things social care”.

The podcast is currently releasing a series of episodes about the Data Security Protection Toolkit, and previous episode themes have included ‘How to succeed as an entrepreneur’ and ‘How to complete the PIR’.

State of our Nation

In State of our Nation, Kari Gersthiemer (CEO and founder of Access Social Care) invites experts, leaders and change-makers to discuss the highs and lows of the adult social care system. The aim is to provide listeners with insights into the state of social care in the UK today.

Ten episodes have been released so far, covering topics such as overseas recruitment, digital innovation and inequalities in health and social care.

Hempsons is a leading law firm dedicated to the health and social care sector. The Hempsons health and social care law podcast launched in 2020 and initially focused on the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on the health and social care system.

The podcast now covers a wide range of issues related to health and social care law, with topics relevant to care managers including care home inquests, CQC inspections and ‘How a social care provider may find themselves involved in the Court of Protection’.
