Dan Archer, CEO and founder of Visiting Angels, is leading a session on why recruitment and retention needs to start with a carer-first culture. Dan will be sharing what his business does in 70 locations across the UK to help Visiting Angels recruit 140 carers per month and, more importantly, to retain 87% of their teams. He will also be sharing how Visiting Angels has an average cost per hire which is half of the industry average.
Amrit Dhaliwal, CEO of Walfinch, will be speaking about how diversity can help with recruitment and boost franchise performance. He will explain why diversity is essential for the success of any business (not just a ‘nice to have’) and highlight best practice when it comes to adopting a diverse hiring policy.
In another session, Katy Berry, registered manager of Bluebird Care Gosport, will explore ways to make training and development something that staff look forward to and enjoy, helping to improve retention.
Managing your home care service
In a session with Emily Colliss, registered manager of Outstanding-rated Right at Home Basingstoke, you'll get top management tips for driving high quality in all aspects of care, monitoring staff performance and learning lessons when things go wrong.
More sessions with Bluebird Care will cover rostering best practice in domiciliary care and maintaining high quality standards in a domestic environment, including common challenges and how to overcome them.
Caroline Cosh, managing director of Clifton Homecare Limited, is leading a session on how to safely manage falls – and you can also join a marketing masterclass with Ben Benson-Breen for strategies designed to boost your visibility and impact in the care community.
