Claire Smout is the Head of Digital Skills in the Digital, Data and Technology Directorate, renowned for her visionary leadership in digital literacy and skills development. With a career spanning over 19 years in Adult Social Care, Claire has a wealth of experience in diverse roles, including digital technology implementation, workforce development, designing and delivering digital support and training, and change management.

A key architect behind several transformative initiatives, Claire has spearheaded the design, development, and delivery of the Level 5 Digital Leadership in Adult Social Care program, the Digital Skills Framework, and its accompanying e-learning modules. Her work also includes the creation of digital champion e-learning modules and the facilitation of a comprehensive digital leadership programme.
